Joan V. (Michienzie) Carchedi

CARCHEDI, JOAN V. (Michienzie) a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on August 14, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Carchedi. Devoted mother of Cheryl A. Hansen and her husband Edward of Hanover and the late David A. Carchedi. Sister of Mary Carchedi of Norwood and the late Barbara Pungitore-D'Otalevi. Cherished grandmother of Edward Hansen III, Angela Oza and Elizabeth Woodberry. Great grandmother of Layla Giovanna Oza and Jacob Austin Woodberry. Daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela (Yalapi) Michienzie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joan was a longtime member of the Walpole CC and was an avid Golfer and Bowler. She wintered in Florida for 30 years and loved socializing with her friends. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Saturday August 18, 2018 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 17 ,2018 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
