Joan (Joanie) Tuccillo, age 80, of Norwood, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024 after bravely battling lung cancer for several months. Joan grew up on Greenacre Road in Westwood, MA, where she graduated High School in 1962 and where she spent many years caring for her mother.
After High School Joan attended Mass Art and throughout her life continued to be an artistic and creative person. There isn’t a “craft” out there that Joan could not master. Lucky are those of us who have pieces of her work.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents Maurice (Tuss) and Mayre Tuccillo. And by her furry canine companions, Oodles and Pebbles.
She is survived by her loving siblings, brother Ralph (Sandy) Tuccillo of Woodbridge, VA and sister Dianne Tuccillo of Arlington, MA; and by her nephews and their families, Brian (Jose) Tuccillo of Katy, TX, Michael (Ashley) Tuccillo of Westwood, MA, and Stephen Tuccillo of Alexandria, VA. She also leaves behind many members of her extended family and many friends. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
A private celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date.
