CINTOLO, JOANNE (Mackys) of Falmouth, formerly of Walpole, passed away at age 72 on July 13, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Frank J. Cintolo. Devoted mother of Carrie A. Pearson and her husband Matthew of Foxborough and Amy J. Radley and her husband Sean of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Weston Pearson, Madison Pearson, Annabelle Radley and Andrew Radley. Daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Janusis) Mackys. Joanne faced her medical challenges with both faith and determination, continuing to enjoy time spent with her close-knit family. Despite Joanne’s medical complications due to Ovarian Cancer over the past fifteen months, she maintained the ability to valiantly press on, spending coveted time and making beautiful memories with her beloved husband, two daughters, and four grandchildren. Her resilience allowed her to persist through medical appointments and tenuous infusions, and has inspired her family to persevere through these challenging times. Joanne was born and raised in Norwood, Massachusetts, and met her husband Frank of nearly 50 years at Boston University. She was a longtime employee for the Walpole Public Schools working as a Computer Technology Specialist. When she wasn’t attending dance recitals, vacationing in Long Boat Key with her husband, attending sporting events for her grandchildren, she provided a warm and welcoming home, cooking and hosting for family and friends.
