Joanne M. Foley, age 80, a longtime resident of Walpole and formerly of Norwood, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 27, 2026, with her children by her side, at CareOne in Newton.

Born in Sanford, Maine, Joanne was one of five children born to the late Arthur and Irene (LeBreux) LaLime. She was raised and educated in Sanford, graduating from Sanford High School. Joanne then furthered her education by attending nursing school in Manchester, NH to receive her LPN license.

A kind and caring woman, Joanne worked as a Memory Care Nurse for various nursing homes in the Norwood area. She took great pride in providing comfort and compassionate care to her patients.

Outside of work, Joanne was an avid sports fan, cheering on the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. She was a regular at Friday night bingos in Norwood, and she loved her trips to the casino, especially Foxwoods with her best friend Pat Cullen. Above all, Joanne was happiest when she was surrounded by her devoted family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she made countless cherished memories.

Joanne is survived by her beloved children: Karen Wing and her husband Earl of Plainville, and Stephen Foley of Walpole; her cherished grandchildren: Kathleen Sterkenburg and her husband Tyler of Johnston, RI, Christopher Wing of Glastonbury, CT, and Daniel Wing of Plainville; her brothers: Richard LaLime and his wife Sally of Springhill, FL, and Roger LaLime of Austin, TX; her sister: Delcia Allain of Sanford, ME; her former spouse: Steve Foley of Norwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her brother Robert LaLime of Springvale, ME.

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held on WEDNESDAY, April 8, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood.

Joanne’s Funeral Service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Joanne will be laid to rest at a later date at St Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.
