KELLY, JOANNE (Barrett) of Norwood passed away on May 29, 2026 following a long illness at the age of 59. Joanne was the beloved wife of Peter F. Kelly Jr. Devoted and loving mother of Peter M. Kelly and his wife Megan (Henneberry) of Norwood, Emily Kelly of Smithfield, RI and Erin Kelly and her fiancé Chadd Doyle of Duxbury. Cherished and loving grandmother of Avery Joanne Kelly. Sister of Diane Millin and her husband Robert of Virginia, Nancy Trask and her husband John of Norwood, Suzanne Galvin and her husband Kenneth of Norwood, Joseph Barrett and his wife Karen of Norwood and the late Daniel Barrett and his wife Susan formerly of Chelmsford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Norwood, Joanne was the daughter of Marie (Barry) Barrett and the late Daniel J. Barrett. Joanne was a 1984 graduate of Norwood High School, and a 1988 graduate of Fitchburg State College where she obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing. After graduating college, Joanne began her 37-year career as registered nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. Joanne transitioned to the New England Baptist Hospital before concluding her career at Mass General Brigham, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital where she worked as a case manager. 

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2026 4-8pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at St. Catherine of Siena Church 547 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
