John L. Allen

ALLEN, JOHN L of Norwood passed away on March 17, 2016 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Pauline (Boucher) Allen. Devoted father of Dennis Allen of Plainville, Susan DeVeuve and her late husband Gregg of Hanson, Paula Towne and her husband Craig of Norwood, Lisa Rockett and her husband Andrew of Duxbury and the late David Allen and his partner of Jack Cahill of Boston. Cherished grandfather of Nicole Ewart and her husband Josh, Daniel Towne, Michael DeVeuve, Abigail DeVeuve, Ryan Rockett and Sarah Rockett. Great Grandfather of Brett and Emmett Ewart. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late John L. and Mary (Dodd) Allen. John was a retired Attorney for Amica Ins. Co. He was a member of the Norwood KofC, Norwood Retired Men's Club and for many years he was devoted to ARC of South Norfolk. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA Wednesday March 23, 2016 at 9am followed by a funeral mass at 10am in St. Timothy's Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 4-7pm. Burial will be at Vine Lake Cemetery Medfield, MA with US Army Honors. John was a WWII US Army Purple Heart recipient, Bronze Star recipient and was very proud to receive the Combat Infantry Badge.
