John "Japer" F. Welch

WELCH, JOHN “Japer” F. of Norwood passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Alice M. Kane-Welch. Devoted father of Shaela T. Welch of Norwood, John “Jay” Welch and his wife Zoey of Framingham, Mary L. Welch of Norwood and Michael J. Welch of Norwood and his former wife Melissa Welch of Wareham. Brother of Nancy Rolli of Marion, Kevin Welch of Wareham, Linda Pettine of Walpole, Sheryl Moriarty of Walpole, Stephen Welch of Dedham and the late David Welch. Cherished grandfather of Cristino, Wesley, Abigail and Paityn. Son of the late John J. and Madeline (Coleman) Welch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Japer was a lifetime member of the Norwood Elks and Former Norwood Town Meeting Member. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4-8pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025 10:30am at St. Timothy’s Parish, Norwood, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Michael J.
