John J Marcelonis

John J. Marcelonis, of West Warwick, RI, formally of Norwood MA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 17, 2024, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was 63.

The cherished son of Dorothy A (McAuley) Marcelonis of Norwood and the late Charles J. Marcelonis, John is survived by his beloved wife Donna (Hackett) Marcelonis, his loving children Robert Charles Marcelonis and his partner Kristen Nagle of Coventry, RI and Samanatha Lee Marcelonis and her Fiancé Joseph Coons of Gilford, NH, and his dear siblings Dorothy Marcelonis of Norwood, Joanne Cook and her husband Michael of Wrentham, Susan Carey and her husband John of Foxboro, Charles J. Marcelonis and his wife Kathleen of Marston Mills, Stephen J. Marcelonis of Norwood and James Marcelonis and his wife Marlene of Norwood. He is also survived by his loving In-laws Frank and Evelyn Hackett of Sharon MA, and his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and extended family.

John was born, raised and educated in Norwood. He graduated from Norwood High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Framingham State University.

A longtime employee of Direct Tire in Norwood, John had most recently worked as a warehouse manager at RH Scales.

An avid sportsman he enjoyed fishing and shooting, watching local sports teams and reading. However, John’s favorite time was spent being with his family as a devoted husband and loving father.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services in celebration of John’s life at Noon on Saturday, July 27th at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood. Visiting hours will be prior to services from 10AM - 12PM.
