John J. O'Brien, of Weymouth, passed away on March 18, 2023. He was 61 Years old.
John worked for over 30 years for Boston Gas and National Grid. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Patriots. He had a huge heart and a fantastic sense of humor. John was incredibly friendly and will be greatly missed.
John was the Loving father of Jack O'Brien of Quincy. Dear brother of Carol A. Kuhn and her husband Christopher of Dedham, Paul F. O'Brien Jr. and his wife Angela of East Weymouth, Stephen J. O'Brien of Palm Springs, California and Susan L. Lawrie and her husband Edward of Walpole. Loving son of the late Paul F. O'Brien Sr. and Joan (Rowan) O'Brien. Former spouse and dear friend of Nicole (Manton) of Quincy. Dear uncle of Christopher, Teresa, Kristen, Kaleigh, Sean, and Ryan and great-uncle of Cayden, Kellan, Vivian, Sienna and Hazel Lee.
John's Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Parish 650 Nichols St. NORWOOD. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
Services will conclude at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
