John Ranalli Sr.

John Ranalli Sr. of Fairview Park Ohio formerly of Norwood MA, passed away on August 5, 2023 at the age of 71. Loving father of Paul and his wife Lauren, Christopher and his wife Alexis and John Jr. dear grandfather of Theo, Leah, Mia and Sophia Ranalli. Beloved son of the late Mario and Anne (Turco) Ranalli. Brother and brother-in-law of Mario A. and his wife Marianne, David, Paul and his wife Mary Lou, Jean Gagne and her husband Ron, Judi-Ann Martin the late James and his surviving wife Cathi. Formerly married to Candace Ranalli. He was the longtime companion of Janet Sgalia. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
John was a multi-sport athlete culminating at the collegiate level for the Ohio University Hockey Team. He had a passion for Golf, which led him to become a member at the Oberlin Golf Club and a longtime member of the Sharon Country Club in MA. A dedicated Catholic, John never missed a Sunday Mass. He had a remarkable sense of humor, endearing him to both friends and family alike. John was an avid reader, and he particularly enjoyed reading historical biographies. He will forever remain a treasured Father and Grandfather.
John's Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, MA, on Saturday August 12, 2023 at 10:00am. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St, Norwood, MA on Friday August 11, 2023 from 4-8pm. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA. A memorial gathering will be held in Cleveland at a later date.
