John Francis Yelapi

YELAPI, JOHN F. of Norwood passed away on February 24,2022 at the age of 90. Son of the late Andrew & Giovanna (Bretti) Ielapi. Loving Brother of Andrew and Joseph Yelapi of Norwood, Robert Ielapi of East Walpole, Mary Ann Grandinetti of Lakewood NJ, Frances Webster of Norwood, Joan Haley of South Yarmouth and Elizabeth McNeil of Foxboro. Devoted and loving Uncle, Great Uncle and Great, Great Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased brother Joseph and Anthony Yelapi, Rose Patton and Barbara Miller. John graduated from Norwood High School in 1949 and went on to receive his degree from Northeastern University. He worked for many years as a government chemist at the Watertown Arsenal. He was the past President of the Alibi Ski Club and a member of the Retired Men's Club of Norwood. At the request of the family all services will be private.
