DINEEN, JOSEPH T. of East Walpole, Canton and Norwood passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Genevieve "Gene" (Tomershea) Dineen. Devoted father of Paul J. Dineen and his wife Deborah E. of Norwood, Janet E. McCormick and her husband Kevin of East Walpole and Anne Marie Mercuri of Gilford, NH. Brother of the late Charles Dineen, Frederick Dineen, Marie Hanley, Edward Dineen, Philip James Dineen, Bernadette Santoro and Carol Varnum. Son of the late Charles D. and Bernadette M. (Farnsworth) Dineen. Cherished grandfather of Michael P. Dineen, Julianne M. McDonough, Patricia J. Mee, Jessica M. Dineen, Kristina M. McNamara, Lauren E. Mercuri and Joseph E. Mercuri. Great grandfather of Mackenzie, Keira, Shay, Avery and Abigail. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph was a retired Mechanical Engineer working for the Northrop Aerospace Company for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Canton, the Canton Town Club and was also a WWII US Army Veteran. Joe will always be remembered for his playful spirit and his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 9am-10:30am at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A funeral mass will be held following the visitation at 11am on Friday October 13, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, MA. Burial will be private.
