Joseph E. Libbey

LIBBEY, JOSEPH E. of Falmouth formerly of Norwood and Dorchester passed away on July 12, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Carol A. (Sarno) Libbey. Devoted father of Stephen J. Libbey and his wife Mary of Norwood, Kathleen L. Greene and her husband Tim of Arlington, Eileen L. Mullins and her husband James of Southborough, Susannah J.P. Petro and her husband Michael of Norwood, Ben Powers and His wife KC of TX and the late David J. Libbey. Brother of Mary Griffin of Quincy, Ruth Peterson of MO, Kathryn Madden of FL and the late John Libbey, Helen Finkel and Robert Libbey. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Son of the late John J. and Catherine T. (Dolan) Libbey. Joseph was a graduate of Boston English High School and Northeastern University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He was one of the founding and lifelong members of the AMVETS,  John P. McKeon Post #146 Dorchester MA and was also the first Vice Commander. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Tuesday July 18, 2017 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Timothy's Church Norwood, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 4-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Highland Cemetery Norwood.
