Joseph N. Nashawaty

NASHAWATY, JOSEPH N. of East Walpole formerly of Melrose and East Boston passed away on April 4, 2024 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Geraldine “Gerri” T. (Guerra) Nashawaty. Devoted father of Richard J. Nashawaty and his wife Kelly of Tewksbury and Leah Robinson and her husband Mark of Walpole. Brother of Robert Nashawaty of KY and the late Richard Nashawaty (Killed in Action in Vietnam) and the late Barbara Nash. Cherished grandfather of Grace, Ava and Penelope. Son of the late Nicholas Nashawaty and Eileen (Gallagher) Prevost. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe was a member of the Walpole Senior Center. He was also a member of the Pool Club at the senior center and was known as "Captain Joe". Joseph was a US Marine Corps Veteran. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church 176 Washington St. E. Walpole, MA. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 1:45pm at the MA National Cemetery, Connery Ave. Bourne, MA.
