Joseph Manuel Branco Neves, 60, of Norwood, Massachusetts passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 31st, 2026.

Joe will be remembered for always making his family and friends laugh, his big contagious smile, amazing cooking, impeccable work ethic, and being a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather, and a friend to many lucky enough to have met him.

Born in Vilela de Lage, Portugal, on Sep 10, 1965, Joe attended Norwood High School. Joe had a successful career as a professional chef, owning his own catering business which was featured in New England Bride and worked for various restaurants across Massachusetts as a highly skilled and renowned head chef. Later on in life, he started working for the DPW of Norwood and worked his way up to the respected position of foreman of the water and sewer division.

Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Neves. Loving father of Joey and his wife Jessica, and Brian. Brother of Teresa DaFonte and her husband Fernando, Isabel Guilmette and her husband Chuck. Brother-in-law Jorge Lima; and one brother. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and various other family members in the Massachusetts area and in Portugal.

Visiting hours will be held on FRIDAY, June 5, 2026, from 8:30-10:30am at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St., Norwood, MA.

Following the visitation a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am in St. Catherine Of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. 

He will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
