Josephine M. (Bader) Purpura

PURPURA, JOSEPHINE M. (Bader) a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on May 14, 2019 at the age of 92. Devoted wife of the late Joseph F. Purpura. Beloved mother of Linda A. Purpura of New Mexico, Norma A. Chitvanni of Norwood, Nancy A. Rediker of Norwood, Very Rev. Dr. Joseph F. Purpura and his wife Kathleen of Westwood, April M. Purpura of Norwood, Robin M. Cathey and her husband Michael of New Mexico and the late Gail M. Henry. Sister of William Bader of LA. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late David and Rose (Domit) Bader. Josephine was a member of the Ladies Society of St. George Orthodox Church and long-time Choir member at the Church. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 4-7pm at St. George Orthodox Church 6 Atwood Ave. Norwood, MA. A funeral service will be on Friday, May 17, 2019 10am at St. George Orthodox Church Norwood. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood.
