Josephine M. (Pungitore) Michel

MICHEL, JOSEPHINE M. (Pungitore) of Norwood passed away on November 29, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Philip "Phil" F. Michel Sr. Loving mother of Pamela A. Konieczny and her husband Anthony of Norfolk, Paula A. Michel-Fanizzi of Norwood, Philip F. Michel Jr. and his partner Paula Calandrelli of Mystic, CT and Peter D. Michel and his wife Lindsey of St. Louis, MO. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Hailey, Mia, Philip, Dominic and Grace and survived by many nieces and nephews.
Josephine was the daughter of the late Dominic Pungitore and Barbara (Michenzie) Pungitore-Diotalevi. She is survived by sisters Dorothy Hibbard of Boston, and Camilia and Daniel Neville of FL, the late Barbara and Joseph DiGiantomasso, and her late brother Dominic Pungitore survived by Patty Pungitore of Holbrook.
Josephine was a generous, long-standing member of the Norwood community and proudly provided 42 years of loving in-home day care for countless families throughout her career.
Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 from 4-7pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
