Judith Ann Letourneau, of Norwood, passed away peacefully at the age of 74. She was born in Norwood, Massachusetts on May 6, 1945 to Alice and Richard Smith. Judy was the adored sister of Sonny Smith, Teddy Smith, Joyce Natoli, Wendy Dunlap, Richard Smith, and Robert Smith. The beloved mother of Peter Santospago of Attleboro, Deana Santospago and her partner Alfred Ricci of Norton, Kevin Letourneau and his wife Christine of Norwood, and Susan Bethelette and her husband Bill of Mansfield. Cherished grandmother of Derek, Taylor, and Cassidy Ricci, Kylie and Keegan Letourneau, and great-grandmother of Dax Ricci. Judy was born and spent the majority of her life in Norwood, a town she loved. She was educated in Walpole, MA and graduated from Walpole High School. She is remembered by her siblings as being vivacious and fiesty, always wanting to be a part of what they were up to, and always ready for a good laugh on the phone. Judy loved her children tremendously. She enjoyed sharing stories of her children's accomplishments. She was an incredibly strong woman, unafraid of anyone or anything when it came to advocating for her children. She is remembered for "making a mean bologna and cheese sandwich", always carpooling the girls back and forth to ballet, and for being the greatest cheerleader in the stands at baseball games. Being a Nana was something that Judy was so proud of. She loved her grandchildren as if they were her own. She was always fun to be around, she was genuine, funny, and she loved to laugh. Judy's granddaughter Cassidy has fond memories of long talks, sleepovers, and watching scary movies together. Judy loved talking to her grandkids on the phone, never wanting to be the one to hang up first. Judy loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She enjoyed going to dinner with family and appreciated a delicious dessert. She loved animals, always willing to babysit the family pets, and she was a loyal Pats fan. Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, as God forgave you in Christ" is a verse from the Bible that captures the values that Judy instilled in those that she met. She taught them to love deeply, to be patient, to have empathy, and to cherish the moments shared together. A celebration of Judy's life will be held at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, Massachusetts for immediate family only.
