Katherine M. (Whittemore) Hockman

HOCKMAN, KATHERINE M. (Whittemore) of Norwood formerly of Roslindale passed away on November 28, 2022 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 54 years to Earl Francis Hockman. Devoted mother of Scott M. Hockman of Norfolk and Cheryl A. Jacobs and her husband Robert of Foxboro. Sister of Charles "Charlie" Whittemore of FL and Kevin Whittemore of Rockland. Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Ava, Olivia, Daniel and Bobby. Daughter of the late Charles W. and Margaret V. (Hutchinson) Whittemore. Best friend of Maryellen Olsson and Loretta MacEachern. Also survived by nieces and nephews, friends and relatives that will remember her with warmth and kindness. Kathy was devoted to her 5 grandchildren, who will remember her fondly as Mia. Some of her happiest moments were spent on Goose Rocks Beach, Maine, seeing her grandkids grow up on the same beach that she grew up on as a young girl. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2-6pm. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to WORK Inc (workinc.org), a community-based program for individuals with disabilities.
