Kathleen (Faherty) Flaherty

FLAHERTY, KATHLEEN (Faherty) of Norwood passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 101. Kathleen arrived in the US as a young woman from Spiddal, Co. Galway, and throughout her life she remained a faithful member of St. Catherine’s parish. Her home became home to many of her relatives, with Irish bread, tea, warmth and humor welcoming friends and family alike. Beloved wife of the late John J. Flaherty. Devoted mother of Maryellen Goodlatte and her husband Bob of VA, Peggy Viscariello and her late husband Ralph of Dedham, Peter Flaherty and his wife Patti of CT and Sean Flaherty and his wife Laura of Franklin. Daughter of the late Darby and Kate Faherty. Sister of 9 late brothers and sisters. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. Funeral from the funeral home Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood, MA. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
