Kevin S. Dyke, age 76, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away in on the early morning of Friday, July 18, 2025, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the longtime companion for over 30 years to Patty Lawrence.
Born on April 28, 1949, in Brattleboro, VT, Kevin was one of four children born to the late Sterling R. and Elizabeth A. (Nesbitt) Dyke. He spent his early years in Brattleboro, settling in Norwood with his family at the age of 14. Kevin was a graduate from Norwood High School, and he played in various sports leagues in his younger years.
A hardworking man, Kevin worked for 26 years as a Machinist for Burgess Brothers in Norwood.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed motorcycles, watching the Patriots and Red Sox, and he seldom missed a NASCAR race. Above all, he cherished the time spent and memories made with his family.
In addition to his companion, Kevin is survived by his daughter: Arie Lawrence; his twin sister: Karen Dumas and her husband Bill; and also numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is preceded in passing by his siblings: Barry Dyke and Jean Ann Davis.
Services for Kevin will be held privately.
