Lee Davey

Edythe-Lee “Lee” (Parks) Davey, age 86, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Louise (Travers) Parks. She grew up in Jamaica Plain and attended Holy Cross Academy. Lee furthered her education by attending Boston State College, where she received her bachelor’s degree.

Lee worked for many years as a schoolteacher at St. Bridgid School in South Boston. She taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade mathematics throughout her time as a teacher, taking great pride in educating her students.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood.

In her spare time, Lee enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles. She loved to take a ride to Castle Island and enjoyed spending time on the Cape. Above all, she cherished the time spent and memories made with her family, especially her sister and grandchildren.

Lee is survived by her proud and cherished children: Erica Sears and her husband Stephen of Mansfield, and Justin Davey and his wife Janine of Mansfield; her six grandchildren: Haley Sears, Shealyn Sears, Kerrin Sears, Bethany Sears, Connor Davey, and Griffin Davey; her sister: Claire Scott of Westwood; and also, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on TUESDAY, September 9, 2025, from 9-10:30 am at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood, MA.Following the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood.

Lee will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
