Louis R. "Woody" Santoro

SANTORO, LOUIS R . "Woody" a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on February 11, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Penelope G. (Gregory) Santoro. Loving son of the late Henry J. Sr. and Rose (Poillucci) Santoro. Brother of Charles Santoro of West Wareham, Mary Titus of Canton, Anna Cohen of Stowe and the late Henry J. Santoro Jr., Patsy Santoro, Dorothy "Dodo" Palazzi, Louise Teague and Jeannette E. Santoro. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Woody was a lifelong member and past president of the Norwood Sportsmen's Association. He also was a member of the Norfolk County League of Sportsmen's Clubs where he was awarded the Massachusetts Sportsman Of The Year award two times. He was a sportsman's sportsman. His true passion was introducing others to the incredible outdoors. Lou taught firearm and hunter safety classes and he ran yearly fishing clinics and fishing derbies for children. He was a retired Cabinet Maker for the Local Union #535. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Friday Feb. 16, 2018 at 8am followed by a funeral mass at 9am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Norwood Sportsmen's Assoc.
