Margaret L. "Peggy" Sergi

August 18, 1947 — January 26, 2023

Margaret L. "Peggy" Sergi, of Bellingham, formerly of Norwood passed away on January 26, 2023. She was 75 years old.


Born and raised in Norwood, Peggy was a graduate of St. Catherine's School and a member of the Norwood Senior High School Class of 1965.


Peggy was an avid ballroom dancer who worked at local ballroom dancing schools and travelled to ballroom dancing competitions.


Peggy loved to travel. She went on several cruises in the Caribbean and Viking River cruises throughout Europe. Other travels brought her to Alaska, Italy and Ireland, among other destinations.


Above all else, Peggy was happiest surrounded by her family. She was always there to help, often going above and beyond in offering to help with whatever she could, and she was like a mother to all of her loving nieces and nephews.


She was the loving daughter of the late Nunzio Sergi and Margaret (Costello). Loving Stepdaughter of Lil (McGonagle) Sergi of Norwood. Dear sister of Bill Sergi and his wife Rayme Sonia of Milton, Jim Sergi and his wife Vicky of Walpole, Rick Sergi and his wife Terry of Franklin, John Sergi and his wife Patti of Attleboro and Joe Sergi and his wife Marianne Folan of Rowley. Dear stepsister of Brendan McGoff and his wife Jody of Raleigh, NC, Shawna Shovelton and her husband Mark of Holbrook, Mark McGoff of Norwood, Kerry Kougias and her husband Mike of Norwood and Tim McGoff and his wife Debbie of Norwood. Cherished Aunt of Gailyc, Quinn, Gabrielle, Christina, Jill, Steve, Andrew, Jennifer, Phil, Lilly Ann, Caitlyn and James as well as 7 loving great-nieces and nephews.


Peggy's funeral will be from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. NORWOOD, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Timothy Parish at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Peggy will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
