Marie Josephine Bagley

BAGLEY, MARIE Josephine passed away on February 19, 2025 at the age of 100. Born in Cambridge, MA on July 25, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Smith) Bagley. Marie resided in Foxboro, MA while attending and graduating from Foxboro High School. After High School Marie attended Emmanuel College. As a young graduate, she choose a religious vocation and joined the Cloistered Carmelite Convent in Concord, NH. Marie would now become Sister Gabriel of the Annunciation. She was an accomplished Organist for the Convent and a talented seamstress in making clerical vestments. Marie left the convent after 21 years to care for her aging parents living in Norwood, MA. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood. Marie spent many years also caring for the children of her nieces and nephews. Her later years were spent in Marion Manor in Dorchester and St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham where she was able to daily attend Mass and receive her Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Her true joy. Marie was the sister of the late Frank, Mark, Joseph, James and John Bagley, Louise Murphy and Agnes Marchetti. Cherished Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Having reached the young age of 100 Marie has gone home. Visiting hour will be held on Friday March 7, 2025 from 9:30am-10:30am at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Burial will follow the funeral mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro, MA (Corner of Mechanic and Chestnut Street). In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Catherine of Siena Church 547 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062.
