Marion L. (Curran) Boch

June 11, 1929 — June 20, 2018

BOCH, MARION L. (Curran) a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on June 20, 2018 at the age of 89. Devoted mother of Richard Boch Jr., David Boch, Margo Musante, Corinne Lyons and Robert Boch. Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marion graduated from Norwood High School and Boston University. She was a successful businesswomen managing the fine jewelry departments in New England for Jordan Marsh and later at Long's Jewelers. As a lifelong republican, she was the first women to run for Secretary of State in Massachusetts in 1958 and later for State Senator. She remained active in the community and politics throughout the years. At home, Marion had a renowned love of dogs. Many a beloved St. Bernard, Newfoundland, and Labrador lived a happier life and ate better than any dog could hope for having been raised in her care. Marion was a woman before her time, magnanimous and forward thinking. Her love, acceptance, care and candor inspired all who knew her to be their best. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, 9am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. At the request of the family visitation will be omitted and burial will be private. Following the Funeral Mass the family would like to invite everyone to attend a reception to celebrate Marion's life at Rafael's Banquet Facility 1601 Main St, Walpole, MA 02081. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Boston Catholic TV Network 34 Chestnut St. Watertown, MA 02471 or the Mass Music & Arts Society 377 N Main St, Mansfield, MA 02048.
