Mary A. (Giardino) Burns Bodge

BODGE, Mary A. (Giardino) Burns a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on July 6, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the Late Robert T. Bodge and the late Francis R. Burns. Devoted mother of Francis R. Burns and his wife Ann of Norwood and Donna Coyne Harris and her husband Arthur of Norwood. Cherished grandmother of Ben Coyne of Norwood, Kerri Coyne of FL, Michael Burns of Norwood and the late Lisa Marie Burns. Great grandmother of Jacob Forbes and Ethan Forbes both of FL. Daughter of the late Domenico and Domenica (Mariotti) Giardino. Mary worked for the Norwood School System and the Town Hall for 24 yrs. She was secretary for the Norwood Conservation Commission for 12 yrs. Mary did volunteer work for Norcap from 1970-1980. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Norwood Hospital, member of the Norwood Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered taking Baby Photos at Caritas Norwood Hospital.  Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Saturday July 9, 2016 at 8am followed by a funeral mass at 9am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Friday July 8, 2016 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Norwood Food Pantry 150 Chapel St. Norwood, MA. 02062 or to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O. Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284-9168.
