Mary E. Libbey

LIBBEY, MARY E. (Faulkner) of Duxbury passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 86. Beloved mother of Stephen Libbey and his wife Mary (O’Brien) Libbey of Norwood, Kathy Greene and her husband Tim of CA, Eileen Mullins and her husband Jim of Quincy and the late David Libbey. Daughter of the Late Clyde and Ada Faulkner. Sister of the late Clyde Faulkner and his wife Kay, Tom Faulkner and his wife Kay, and Meg (Faulkner) Buckley and her husband Joe. Cherished grandmother of Johanna Greene and her husband João Baptista, Julie (Mullins) Gibbons and her husband Ryan, Patricia Greene and her husband Derek Kozak, Megan (Libbey) Vilas-Boas and her husband Felipe, the late Melissa (Libbey) Pentowski and her husband Chris, and Jay Mullins. Beloved great-grandmother of Leonor Greene Baptista, Evelyn Vilas-Boas, Dorothy Gibbons, Natalie Greene Baptista, Camille Kozak, and Nathan Vilas-Boas. Lovingly remembered as Grandmary, Mary adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and instilled in them the importance of education and self-reliance, as well as a great appreciation for culture and the arts. Her career was in nursing, but she was also an artist with a talent for acrylic and watercolor paintings, especially the flower portraits she was known for. She continuously challenged herself, biking across the country twice in her 60s. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4-8pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. All other services and burial will be private.
