Mary H. (Mullin) Power, 86, of Walpole died peacefully after a long illness on November 13 in the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center at Newbridge on the Charles in Dedham. She was the wife of James M. Power for the past 53 years.
Born in Brookline, August 9, 1935, the daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrice (McDermott) Mullin, Mary was raised in Brookline and had lived in Dedham for many years before moving to Walpole 16 years ago.
A homemaker , Mary loved to read, travel, Boston University Ice Hockey, following all the Boston Professional sports teams and spending time with her granddaughter and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Brian Power of Walpole and Eileen Smith and her husband Justin of Stratham, New Hampshire.
She is also survived by her granddaughter Julia Smith of Stratham, New Hampshire.
Mary is also survived by her sisters, Winifred "Pat" Breen of Walpole and Sheila Malloy of Walpole. She was the sister of the late Frances Phipps and Thomas Mullin.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 18 at St. Mary's Church, East Walpole at 10:30.
Burial will be in New Westwood Cemetery, Westwood.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday November 17, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington Street, Norwood.
