Mary Teresa (Shaw) Curley

CURLEY, MARY Teresa (Shaw) of Norwood passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Stanley R. Curley. Devoted mother of Mary Frances Curley of Norwood, John Curley and his wife Michelle of Norwood, Judy Wiklund and her husband Andrew of Upton, Jim Curley and his wife Lori of SC, Rita Curley of Norwood, Sister Marie Paul, FSP, of Boston, Kathleen DosSantos and her husband Julio of AZ, Eileen Rouvalis of Attleboro, Clare Cole and her husband Andrew of KY, Kevin Curley and his wife Linda of NH, Agnes Penny and her husband Daniel of OK, and the late Patrick R. Curley and his late wife Karen. Sister of the late Clara Walsh and Frances Shaw. Cherished grandmother of 39 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Richard F. and Dorothy M. (Dawkins) Shaw, both of Washington, DC.

Mary Teresa was born on Michigan Avenue in Washington DC. She attended Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School followed by secretarial school. She worked for the National Catholic News Service in the secretarial pool until she married the late Stan Curley with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.
Mary Teresa was a dedicated Pauline Cooperator and an active member of the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed knitting with her Knit-Wit group until recent years. She cherished visits and visiting with her children and grandchildren. She attended St. Mary Parish in East Walpole for many years.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Kraw -Kornack Funeral Home at 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Funeral from the funeral home Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 9am followed by a funeral Mass at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, East Walpole, MA. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Daughters of St. Paul, 50 St. Paul’s Avenue, Boston, MA 02130. Masses for the repose of Mary Teresa’s soul are also appreciated
