Maureen T. (Foley) Concannon

CONCANNON, MAUREEN, T. (Foley) of Norwood and South Portland, Maine died peacefully on Feb. 4, 2016  at home at the age of 89 years surrounded by her loving family and friends. Beloved wife of the late John Concannon; Mother of Mary T. And Julia A., both of Norwood. Daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Walsh) Foley of Galway Ireland. Sister of John J. Foley of  County Mayo, Ireland, Julia Conneely of Galway, Ireland and the late Patrick Foley of London, England. Survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews in Ireland , England, Australia and New York. Maureen was a well known Irish language singer and was active in Cumann na Gaeilge in Boston for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially during her frequent trips to Maine and Ireland. Her daughters wish to acknowledge the wonderful home care Maureen received from Mary Brennan, Ann Cloherty, Geraldine Murray, Dedham V.N.A/Hospice, and her neighbors the Marchionda family. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood Tuesday Feb. 9, 2016 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Monday Feb. 8, 2016 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood.
