Neil William Scanlon

SCANLON, NEIL William of Plymouth formerly of Norwood passed away on May 4, 2022 at the age of 65 after a period of declining health. Beloved Partner of Christine M. Taylor of Plymouth. Son of the late Mary and William Scanlon. Survived by his cherished children of partner Christine, James Taylor and his wife Melissa of N. Andover, Michael Taylor and his wife Jennifer of Weymouth and the late Daniel Taylor. Brother of Mark Scanlon and his wife Arlene of Merrimack, NH and Gary Scanlon of Foxboro. Uncle of Joshua, Alex, Daniel and Lydia. Cherished "Gumpy" of Mackenzie, Isabella, Julianna, Madison, Charlotte and William. Neil had an impressive Naval career that included a tour during Desert Storm. Neil had a deep passion for sports and loved Boston teams. He enjoyed many trips to Florida with his friends for Red Sox spring training and traveling to many parts of the country to play golf with his beloved partner Christine. He was also a member of the Norwood Elks, VFW and American Legion. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street Norwood, MA 02062. A funeral home service will be held on Friday at 5:45 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
