Paraskevi “Voula” Koktsidis was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 23, 1961, to Greek immigrants Constantine “Charlie” and Aristea Sougaridis.
The oldest of four, Panayioti “Peter” Sougarides, Efthalia “Ethel” Sougaridis, and the late Eleni “Helen” Ziavras, Voula grew up in Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury.
She attended Boston Latin School, and was the first in her family to graduate from college with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Northeastern University in 1985.
Voula worked as a teller at Union Warren and People’s Bank, a Budget Analyst for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), and as a sales associate at Bloomingdales.
She met Dimitri in 1989, and soon after they became engaged. Together, they built a life centered around family, where she devoted her time to raising their children, Alexandra and Aristides. Later on, she found joy working as a sales associate at Anne Taylor Lofts.
Voula found meaning in small moments, whether in fashion, art, architecture, flowers, or reading literature and poetry. By nature, she was grounded and pragmatic, guided by a sense of inner responsibility.
She is survived by her devoted husband Dimitrios, beloved children Alexandra and Aristides, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece.
Funeral will take place on Tuesday, February 17 at 10 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church at 15 Union Park Street in Boston. Burial to follow at the Gardens Cemetery, 670 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.
Visitation will take place on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA from 4PM to 7PM.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Voula’s Memory may be made to St. John the Baptist Greek Church, 15 Union Park Street, Boston, MA.
