Pasquale Ciampa, age 97, a resident of Westwood passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland. He was the devoted husband of 68 wonderful years to the love of his life, Elena (Tirabassi) Ciampa.
Born on October 21, 1928, in Sulmona, Italy, Pasquale was the eldest of four sons of the late Giovanni and Angiolina (Valeri) Ciampa. He spent his early years growing up in Italy before embarking on a courageous journey in 1947 to pursue the American Dream by immigrating to the United States. He settled in Dorchester, where he lived with family, friends and began working in Boston’s North End, developing his lifelong passion and skill for pizza making.
In 1952, grateful for the opportunities he found in his new country, Pasquale enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War era. He proudly served as a Private First Class and was honorably discharged in 1954.
Upon returning home, Pasquale worked in the sheet metal industry for the Peters Company. In 1969, inspired by his culinary roots in the North End, he fulfilled his entrepreneurial dream by opening Casa Bella Pizza in Medfield. For many years, he provided the Medfield community and surrounding areas with his exceptional cuisine and warm, welcoming servicethat Casa Bella Pizza still is known for present day.
Pasquale enjoyed a wide range of interests in his free time, including skiing, golfing, tennis, reading, gardening, yoga, and meditation. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was the proud and loving father of Lina and her husband Lawrence Lepore of Millis, and Patricia and her husband John Pinciaro of Medfield, as well as the late John Ciampa, who passed away on February 9, 2018.
Pasquale will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Patricia and John’s children: Tiffany and her husband Matthew Sullivan, Alexa and her husband Kevin Saccone Jr, and Krista and her husband JosephMariano; and by the children of his late son John: Ashley and her husband Thomas McDonald, Lauren Ciampa and her husband Max Roberts, and Jonathan Ciampa and his wife Chrissy; he is also survived by their mother, Carla Ciampa. Pasquale was the great-grandfather to: Delaney, John, Kevin, Cole, William, Skylar, Patrick, Isla, Stella, and Grace. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Mario, Paolo, and Armando Ciampa.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood. Pasquale will be laid to rest with U.S. Army honors at New Westwood Cemetery in Westwood.
