Patricia A. (Danahy) Gorman

We are sad to announce the passing of Patricia A. Gorman of Norwood on July 21st. Patti passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the most devoted wife to the love of her life, the late William J. Gorman Sr. Patti was the loving mother to Debra Donovan (Kevin), Maribeth Silvernail (Carl), William J. Jr (Karen) and her youngest, caring and supportive, son, Thomas. She was the proud grandmother to Brian Silvernail (Laura), Matthew Silvernail (Stacy), Meghan Sousa (Derek), William III and Sean Gorman, and Liam Donovan. She was a doting great grandmother to the new "Sunshine of her life", Bennett. Patti spent many summers at the beach, as the adoring daughter to her mother, the late Margaret Danahy of Marshfield. The beach was their "happy place" for family gatherings. Patti was loving sister to the late Margaret Rose and is survived by sister-in-law, Maureen Maglio, as well as many nieces and nephews. Always involved in family activities, Patti was a member of the Norwood Firefighters Auxiliary and troop leader with the Girl Scouts of America. She retired in 2014 as office manager to a medical specialty practice. Patti's passion for reading historic novels, mysteries, and love stories was her self-proclaimed "vehicle to traversing the universe." Patti will always be remembered for her positive outlook, warmth, and inherent wisdom. She will forever remain close in the hearts of those who love her. All services will be private.
