Patricia K. (Devaney) Carten

CARTEN, PATRICIA K. (Devaney) of Norwood passed away on January 16, 2022 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of John A. Carten. Cherished mother of Eileen Daniels and her husband Paul of CA, Stephen J. Carten and his wife Retha of NH, Brian P. Carten of VT, Patricia A. Schmedel and her husband Richard K. of TX, Kathleen M. Carten of Sherborn, and Amy M. Toronto and her husband Paul of Falmouth. Daughter of the late William J. Devaney and Bridie T. Devaney (Reddington). Sister of the late William and John Devaney. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren Erin, Michael, Samantha, Jennifer, Matthew, Katherine, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Richard and Hannah . And 4 great grandchildren Tarah, Tori, Kadance and Aubrey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pat volunteered at the Norwood Food Pantry for many years. She was active in the Norwood Senior Center as a member of knitting groups, various exercise classes and book clubs. She was also a member of the Norwood Women's Club. She volunteered for the Norwood Public Schools teaching reading. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Saturday January 22, 2022 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
