Patricia Stair Tincler

September 13, 1923 — July 9, 2016

TINCLER. Patricia Stair, a resident of New Pond Village in Walpole since 2000, died on July 9 at Norwood Hospital after a short illness. She is survived by her husband John Tincler, whom she married in 2012; daughters Frances Stair White of Westport, CT, and Anne Stair Rosenbloom of Waltham, MA; nieces Louise DeCamp Reeve of Earlysville, VA, and Barbara DeCamp Stone and Marjorie DeCamp Marks, both of Mount Pleasant, SC; eleven grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. The former Mary Patricia LaBaw was born on September 13, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA. Patty grew up in the Philadelphia area and was a graduate of The Shipley School and Harcum Junior College. In February, 1944 she married Sherman Stair, who predeceased her in 2001. Patty was active in numerous volunteer groups throughout her life, especially during her years in Saginaw, MI, and Northampton, MA, focusing on the arts and music, and working in neonatal units in hospital nurseries. As a vigorous participant in the New Pond Village community she made significant contributions by chairing the Holiday Fund for employees and staff and writing for the NPV Newsletter. An avid gardener throughout her life, she took special pride in the red geraniums on her deck, and she was also an accomplished watercolorist and seamstress. Patty and John particularly enjoyed the dancing events at the Village. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14, 2016 4-6pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. At the request of the family all other services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Walpole Library 143 School Street Walpole, MA. 02081.
