Paul Joseph Ingersoll, of Norwood, passed away Friday evening, July 26, 2024, at his residence. He was 84.
The cherished son of the late Francis and Estelle (Luzio) Ingersoll, Paul is survived by his beloved wife Mary (Halloran) Ingersoll, his loving children Paul J. Ingersoll and his wife Cheryl of Dedham, Michael Ingersoll and his wife Cheri of Norton and Mary Beauregard of Westwood, his dear sister Doris Brock of Milton and his cherished grandchildren Patrick, Ethan, Adam, Dylan, Amanda and Emily.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Francis, Alice, Jean, Marie.
He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and extended family.
Paul was a technician with the Western Electric Company, retiring after over 30 years of employment.
A proud veteran he served in the Navy as a Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class aboard the destroyer USS Wallace L. Lind (DD-703).
Paul was born, raised and educated in Boston and has been a Norwood resident for the past 56 years. He had been a member of the Norwood Bowling League, who had a fondness for animals and enjoyed music and traveling, but his happiest times where being with his family and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services in celebration of Paul’s life at 10AM on Thursday, August 1st at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Washington Street, Norwood at 11AM. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Norwood. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7PM.
