R. Jeanne (Huff) Leear

LEEAR, R. Jeanne (Huff) passed away peacefully on Friday March 14, 2025 at the age of 94 at the Doolittle Home in Foxborough surrounded by family. Born October 8, 1930 in Waterville, ME, she was the daughter of the late J. Eugene and Rita J. (Willette) Huff and wife of the late Eugene H Leear. Survived by son John and wife Maura of Walpole, MA and son Paul and wife Donna of Foxborough, MA. Loving grandmother of Bryan Leear of Franklin, MA, Allison Carlson and her husband Jake of North Attleborough, MA and Paul Leear Jr. of Foxborough, MA. Also survived by brother Charles Huff and wife Carol of CO and their children Nui and Puwadj. Jeanne was educated in Waterville, ME, graduating from high school in 1948 and Sisters Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. While in nursing training in Boston she met her future husband Gene Leear, married in 1951 and settled in Norwood. Jeanne resided in Norwood for 50 years until 2007 when she moved to Walpole. Jeanne worked in Norwood for many years as a registered nurse. Jeanne enjoyed music and played piano which she learned in Maine as a child. Her exceptional talents extended to cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She was a passionate Boston sports fan, especially an avid Red Sox fan. Visiting hours at Kraw Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA Wednesday March 19 from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood followed by burial at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
