Regina (Elias) Dicicco

February 2, 1925 — April 24, 2024

DiCicco, Regina ‘Reggie’ (Elias) age 99, of Sharon (formerly of Norwood) passed away on April 24, 2024 at home surrounded by her family after a long illness.
Beloved wife of the late Bruno DiCicco, loving mother of Ellen A. Cusick of Sharon and Joyce P. Michaeles of Boylston, sons-in-law Francis Cusick and Michael Michaeles and grandson Alexander B. Cusick of N. Easton and his wife Marwa.
Sister of the late James, Lutvie, Charles (Chas), George (Chuck), Louis (Lallo) and Michael Elias and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Regina was born and raised in South Norwood (‘The Flats’) in a loving community of family and friends. A 1943 graduate of Norwood High School, she went on to continue her education at Katharine Gibbs in Boston, a secretarial and finishing school for women. Her first job was bookkeeper and office manager with a local car dealership which she held until she started a family.

She was a devoted, active member of St. George Orthodox Church in Norwood, serving as Treasurer for many years. Regina led a full life with many interests. She enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping (a true shoe lover and connoisseur!), traveling, movies, theater and Boston sports; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, and her family loved spending time with her. To describe Reggie as a devoted Grandmother (Sitto) would be an understatement. Regina had many, many friends from all walks of life. She always had a smile for everyone and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her kindness extended beyond people; she loved animals, especially dogs, and was known for protecting and rescuing dogs in distress.

Regina will be remembered by those who knew her as kind, warm, compassionate, and generous. She will be deeply missed.

A wake will be held at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home on Monday, April 29th from 9 to 11 am followed by an 11:30 funeral mass at St. George Orthodox Church, 6 Atwood Ave, Norwood. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to St. George Orthodox Church www.stgeorgenorwood.org or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) www.aspca.org

The family would like to thank everyone for their support throughout Regina’s illness and during this difficult time.
