Richard J. Mcgowan Sr.

McGOWAN, RICHARD J. Sr. of Norwood passes away on Nov. 29, 2016 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Joan M. (Wood) McGowan. Devoted father of Richard J. "Miggy" McGowan Jr. and his wife Jean of Norwood, Kevin P. McGowan and his fiancée Patty Lydon of Canton, Donna M. Sullivan and her husband Thomas of Middleboro, Joanne E. Cuddy and her husband Robert of Norwood and Kerry J. Lamanuzzi and her husband John of Uxbridge. Brother of John McGowan of FL and the late Robert McGowan, Edward McGowan, Virginia Fairfield and Jerry McGowan. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 1 late granddaughter  Amanda McGowan. Also survived by 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Kilroy) McGowan. Richard was a member of the Norwood KofC. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Monday Dec. 5, 2016 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 from 3-7pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood.
