Rita L. (Buote) Costello

COSTELLO, RITA L. (Buote) of Norwood passed away on June 25, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Costello. Devoted mother of Mary Anne Killackey of Cambridge, Michael P. Costello and his wife Cathleen Delaney of Norwood, Sheila M. Whalen and her husband James of Stoughton and the late Thomas P. Costello. Loving sister of M. Theresa Sweeney of Stoughton, Lena Leard of Stoughton, Raymond Buote and his wife Lillian of Middleboro and the late Louis Buote and James Buote. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late James and Mary (Hughes) Buote. Rita was a former employee for the Town of Norwood Light Dept. and was a member and former Secretary of the Norwood Irish Music Club. She was an avid dancer and loved to play Scrabble and Cribbage. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA Thursday June 30, 2016 at 8am followed by a funeral mass at 9am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Deutsches Altenheim Center 2222 Centre St. W. Roxbury, MA 02132.
