Robert T. Flaherty

FLAHERTY, ROBERT T. a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away on February 15, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Jane C. (Opperman) Flaherty. Devoted father of Robert E. Flaherty and his wife Kerri of CA. Brother of the late Richard and Kevin Flaherty. Brother in Law of Carol Flaherty of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Michael and Haley Flaherty. Son of the late Thomas and Mary (Devereaux) Flaherty. Also survived by 4 nephews and 2 nieces.  Robert was a Korean War US Army veteran and was assigned to Stand Guard in Washington at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He was a owner of the Flaherty Contracting Co. in Norwood, MA for many years. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Tuesday February 21, 2017 at 9am followed by a funeral mass at 10am in St. Timothy's Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Monday February 20, 2017 from 4-7pm. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2017,  12:45pm at the Mass. National Cemetery Bourne, MA with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Norwood Circle of Hope Foundation
