Bob was a peace-time veteran before being Honorably Discharged from the United States Army. He spent most of his working years at Sears, where he met and married, the predeceased, Janet M Briggs, the mother of his daughters, and eventually, he retired from Coca-Cola. Affectionately known by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many others as "Pa," he enjoyed regular visits with his family, would frequently bike the Cape Cod Canal and hike in the Blue Hills, was an avid wrestling fan for most of his life, which included taking his sons-in-law to matches. Ironically, being a dedicated member of AA for roughly 50 years, he enjoyed collecting Jim Beam decanter cars, amassing a collection of at least 30 unique models. Bob "Pa" Garvey leaves behind a legacy of unquestionable and unwavering love, strong work ethic, goofy sayings, Irish will, and tenacious dedication to family. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 29th, 2024 from 4-8pm at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062.
