Robert "Bob" John Daly

DALY, Robert "Bob" John of Norwood, died on February 18, 2022 at the age of 91. Bob was born in Somerville to the late William and Ellen (Lavey) Daly. Husband of Norma E. (Matthews), Father of Elaine, Diane (Edward Shea), Linda, and Kristine (Michael Walsh), stepfather to Leslie McDonald. Grandfather to Gary, Cherie, Sara, Steve, Katy, Ryan, Lauren, Colleen, Shannon and Erin. He is predeceased by all of his siblings William, James, Edward, Helen (Matthews), Francis, Paul, John, and Marion Daly. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War. After returning from Korea he married Norma and started his family. He joined the Boston Police Department and spent most of his 37 year career working at Station 6 in South Boston. Bob retired in 1995 and spent his retirement years at their home in Norwood, gardening and, listening to music. Services are private. Arrangements by the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, Norwood, MA.
