Robert "Rob" Renda

Robert “Rob” Gus Anthony Renda, of Foxborough, formerly of Norwood, passed away Monday evening, August 12, 2024, at his residence he was 46.
Rob is survived by his beloved parents Gaspare and Maria (Colantuoni) Renda of Norwood, his beloved sister Rosemarie Renda Ketchel and her husband Anthony Jude of Norwood, his cherished niece and nephew Julianna Elizabeth and Christian Michael Ketchel, his aunts Antonetta Luongo of Norwood and Catherine Castelli of Upton and his uncle Bruno Colantuoni and his wife Laura of Norwood. He is also survived by his many cousins and extend family.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Francesco and Maria (DeIesu) Colantuoni and Salvatore and Nicolina (Fasulo) Renda and his aunt the late Rosalie Petrillo.
Born in Boston, Rob was raised and educated in Norwood where he had been a lifelong resident. After graduating from Norwood High School, he attended both New England Technical School in RI and Baystate School of Technology in Canton, Rob became an IT specialist working for TriMark in Mansfield.
An accomplished musician, he was a member of the Norwood High School Music Program and the Marching Band. Rob was also an instructor with The Cadets, a distinguished marching ensemble. As a boy he delivered the Boston Globe newspaper to homes, allowing him to earn a scholarship and recognition at a Boston Celtics Game. An avid fan of the Boston Bruins he enjoyed playing basketball and participating in a tradition of annually jarring tomatoes.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services for Rob at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood on Wednesday, August 21st at 10AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of his life at 11AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Washington Street, Norwood. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Norwood. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 – 8PM.
