McCARTHY, RONALD C. of Norwood passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 17, 2025, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Susan (Perry) McCarthy. Devoted father of Amy S. Donovan and her husband, Robert, of Milton and Jill A. McCarthy and Derek Brandt of Milton. Cherished grandfather of Lauren May Donovan, Lexi Jill Donovan and Teagan Elizabeth Brandt. Brother of Judith A. Spognardi of Medfield. Son of the late Charles F. and Anna P. (Gangi) McCarthy. Also survived by many beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and long-term wonderful friends. Ron met Susan at Roslindale High School, where they attended their senior prom – the beginning of a lifelong journey together. Ron was unwavering in his dedication to his work and had an entrepreneurial spirit that drove the growth of his two successful pool businesses. He poured his heart into every detail and his commitment and integrity inspired lasting loyalty – so many of his employees stayed with him for decades, a true reflection of the man he was. Ron’s greatest source of pride was his family, and the many dear friends who became like family over the years. But most of all he loved his “girls”: his beloved wife of 57 years, his two treasured daughters, and his three darling granddaughters, who affectionately called him “Gaygay.” Our beloved Ronnie will be missed every single day. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 4-8pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Funeral from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Timothy’s Church, Norwood, MA. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
