Russell J. Federico

Russell J. Federico, of Norwood, passed away on December 30, 2022. He was 104 years old.


Born in Boston, Russell was a proud US Army Veteran of World War II. Russell was a kind man who everyone loved. He enjoyed fixing watches and jewelry and used his connections with the jewelers in Boston to help his family buy their diamonds. He loved his wife's cooking and enjoyed his sweets. He was a fan of western cowboy movies and for years he loved traveling to PA for summers and Easters to spend time with family. He was happiest surrounded by his family.


Russell was the dear and devoted husband of the late Domenica (DiFrancesco). Loving father of Carol Federico of Franklin, Russell Federico, Donna Flynn and her husband Mike of Franklin, and the late Jean Rosata. Beloved "Grampy" of Temma, Tara, Chris, Derek, Carly and Corey and "Great-Grampy" of Brayden, Riley, Shaw, Cooper, Quinn, Kellen, Cade and Brody. He was the dear brother of the late Alfred and John Federico. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.


Russell's Funeral Mass will be held on his birthday, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in East Walpole. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Following the mass, Russell will be laid to rest with his beloved Domenica at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
