Ruth C. (Mcdonough) King

KING, RUTH C. (McDonough) of Norwood passed away on February 28, 2019 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Henry W. King. Devoted mother of Henry W. King Jr. and his wife Diane of Hanover and Bridgewater, Elizabeth Dorgan and her husband Stephen of Stoughton, Barbara Vail and her husband William of Norwood, David J. King and his wife Carmen of Stoughton and Peter F. King and his wife Stacey of Norwood. Born in Dedham, daughter of the late John F. and May W. (Campbell) McDonough. Sister of the late John McDonough, Elizabeth Harrington, Thomas McDonough, Richard McDonough and Robert McDonough. Cherished grandmother of Kevin King and his wife Christine, David King, Penny King, Ann Fiske and her husband Evan , Michael O'Neil and his wife Christina, Katharine Richall and husband Justin, Christine King, Peter 'PJ' King, Brian King and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a life long Red Sox fan and loved to bowl and travel. She retired from New England Telephone after 38 years. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 11am at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning only from 10-11am. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham, MA. A special note of thanks to the staff at Baypointe for their loving care of our mother.
