Sara Lee Udden, age 72, a lifelong resident of Norwood, passed away on January 26, 2026, at Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood, following a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Norwood, she was the third of six children born to the late Eric G. and Doris A. (Carlson) Udden. Sara was a proud member of the Norwood High School Class of 1972. Throughout her life, she embarked on various career paths, with her most recent role as a Clerk at Roche Brothers Supermarkets. In this position, she was known for her wonderful customer service and her genuine kindness towards all those who crossed her path.

A spirited individual, Sara always sought the best in others, greeting everyone with a warm "hello" and a bright smile. Her lighthearted personality made her a natural jokester, and she had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and joy into the lives of those around her. Those who knew her could always appreciate her great sense of humor.

Sara had a deep passion for her interests and hobbies. She was an avid Red Sox fan, eagerly supporting her team throughout the seasons. Whether she was visiting the senior center in Norwood or savoring a coffee at Dunkin' Donuts, she treasured each moment spent with family and friends. Watching soap operas and game shows also brought her much joy, but above all, she cherished the time spent with her three grandsons. Their weekly breakfast gatherings were a highlight in her life, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sara developed a love for dolphins when she went on a cruise in the Caribbean years ago and got to swim with them. This was a memory that she held close and liked to share with those around her.

Sara is survived by her proud and loving daughter: Heidi Munson and her husband Dean of Framingham; her three doting grandsons: Blake, Tristan, and Connor; her siblings: Richard Udden and his wife Teresa Udden of Lennox, MA, David Udden, Sr., and his wife Cheryl Pilavios-Udden of Foxboro, Margaret "Peggy" Udden of Norwood, and Andrew Udden of Norwood; her nieces: Christina Colgan and her husband Thomas Colgan of Highland, NY and Laura Udden and her partner Chris Conway of Woburn; her nephews: David Udden, Jr. and his husband Eddie Chen of Newport Beach, CA and Jeremy Udden and his wife Kazia Musial-Udden of Brooklyn, NY; and also extended family member and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in passing by her brother: John "Jackie" Udden, who passed away in 1972.

Visiting hours will be held on MONDAY, February 16, 2026, from 9:30a.m.-11:00a.m. in the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
